We did quite a lot of our build during Covid lockdown in Victoria, Australia. While we love and are passionate about supporting our local community and shops, it was not possible to source a lot of the specialised products we needed to fit out our bus in a small regional town.
This is where Amazon came in handy!
We found we could source such a great variety of products (usually with free shipping as an Amazon Prime Member) and if there was ever an issue, we usually didn’t have a problem getting in touch with the suppliers.
Here are a few of our favourite products we have found great in our bus!

The build
You may wonder why you need to blackout your windows in a bus? We didn't want to see the ugly backs of our kitchen cabinets and the side of our shower unit so we put this fabulous blockout film on the windows. We used 2 rolls.
We have found these invaluable at night in the bathroom and around the bus. You have the ability to switch them to permanently on or use them as a sensor light, the latter being perfect for those midnight trips to the loo!
Travel must-haves
We love the opportunity to switch off while travelling and play some games! This Travel version of Rummikub is fantastic as it packs away neatly.

Having some games to play when you're away is essential, particularly when you have no service! We find Monopoly Deal great fun with the family.

It's essential to have some fun reading while you're away and Kate Ulman's book Vantastic is full of great tips for fitting out your van which we have found also great for our bus, not to mention Kate's great travel tips. Vantastic is a great read.
Crafting essentials…
I do love to craft and having the bus gives me plenty of space to pack my sewing machine!
All our curtains in the bedroom of the bus were hand sewn.
These sewing clips are one of my must-have items.
